Join a small but ambitious team building AI systems fully in house. From data pipelines and training, to deployment and scaling. We’re looking for an AI/ML Engineer to help design, fine tune and optimise real models (speech, NLP, multimodal), not just wrap APIs. You’ll thrive here if you’re hands on, love experimenting with frameworks, and want your work to have real, visible impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, train, and fine-tune ML/AI models for speech to text, NLP, and multimodal tasks
  • Design and maintain infrastructure to support in house model development & deployment
  • Use LangChain, vector databases, and Ollama to power AI-driven workflows
  • Develop pipelines for data collection, preprocessing, labelling, and feature engineering
  • Implement self-hosted solutions for model serving, orchestration, and scaling
  • Optimise models for latency, efficiency, and cost in production environments
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps to ensure AI systems are secure, reliable, and scalable
  • Stay up to date with open-source AI frameworks and bring new ideas into production
Key Ingredients
  • Practical hands on AI/ML engineering experience
  • Strong background with ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)
  • Experience with LangChain, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus), Ollama
  • Python expertise; bonus if you know C++/Rust/Go
  • Data pipelines: ETL, feature stores, data cleaning & preprocessing
  • Knowledge of speech/NLP processing and LLM fine tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and hybrid (cloud/on prem) deployments
  • Understanding of security, privacy, and compliance in AI systems
Personality & Culture Fit

  • Thrives in a small, high impact team where everyone's contribution matters
  • Positive, collaborative, and happy to share learnings with colleagues
  • Detail-oriented, but pragmatic
  • Excited about building real AI systems, not just gluing together APIs.
Benefits
  • Full time permanent role in sunny Perth, Australia
  • Work in a small, dynamic team where your ideas shape their industries AI future
  • Ownership of projects from end to end
  • Regular opportunities to experiment with cutting-edge open-source tools
  • A collaborative, growth driven environment with plenty of room to learn
  • Team events, a supportive culture, and the freedom to do your best work
